How do I set up my account?

Once you’ve signed up to Fresha, you’ll want to start taking advantage of all of the amazing features that come with it.

Every feature included in Fresha has been designed to help simplify the day-to-day running of your business and making sure you’re set up in the right way could instantly increase your bookings and start growing your sales! 

Follow the guidelines outlined below to get your business set up with Fresha:

Add your staff and services 

Add staff members

Before you do anything else, the first thing you’ll want to add are your staff members. Once added, you can start assigning staff members to your services, set up their permissions, and begin taking bookings online.

Add resources and rooms (if applicable) 

Some of the services you provide may require a specific machine or room, and you'll want to make sure that your resources never get double booked. Add your resources and rooms and start assigning them to your services to prevent double-booking.

Add services and allocate them to staff 

Once you’ve added your staff members, you can start creating your service list with different pricing options using our advanced pricing features. You’ll need to allocate services to your staff members and enable online bookings to allow your clients to book your services online.

Add taxes

Every country and state has its own requirements for recording taxes and you’ll want to set this up before you start processing your payments. We’ll automatically calculate the tax contribution for each invoice you raise based on your personal settings.

Add products

Add products that are available to buy from your location(s) or used alongside your services and start managing your inventory and stock levels for easy ordering, tracking, and selling.

Create discount types

By creating discount types in advance, you can easily apply them to your products and services when you get to checkout and keep track of their success rate in your reports.

Add processing time

Some services may require processing time if a client is attending their appointment but doesn't require a staff member's attention. Adding processing time to your services will allow staff to take on more appointments and optimise your bookings.

Import your client list into Fresha

Importing your client list into Fresha is the easiest way to transfer all of the data you need to start scheduling appointments for clients who have booked with you before.

Manage your commissions, permissions, and client notifications 

Apply staff commissions

Calculating staff commissions by hand can get complicated, so setting these in advance can save you time when working out their additional pay at the end of each month.

Create user logins and permissions

As the account owner, you can enable and control login access for your staff members. When adding staff members, you can set their permissions based on the level of access you’d like them to have. Once your user permissions have been set, you can define what each of the permission levels gives them access to.

Manage automated client notifications

Notifications help you stay in touch with your clients and keep them updated about their appointments via email, text message and push notifications in the Fresha app. Set up client notifications before you start taking appointments and you could reduce client no-shows by up to 30%!

Enable online bookings

Online bookings play an essential role in increasing your bookings and connecting you with your clients. Over 60% of appointments made online are booked outside of regular working hours. Manage your calendar

Create an appointment

Once you’ve created your services and set your staff working hours and availability, you can start adding appointments to your calendar. You can do this by clicking anywhere on your calendar or selecting add_new.png and New appointment.

Raise an invoice

Once an appointment has been completed, you'll need to be able to generate an invoice for your clients. By checking out your appointments and raising invoices, you can stay up-to-date with your business’s performance by tracking your sales, payments, commissions, inventory, tips, and taxes.

Process a payment

Our fully integrated payment processing solution lets clients pay for their appointments through text message and securely stores their information to your client database for quick and easy checkouts on future appointments. There are no additional fees for using our payment processing features, and with built-in client no-show and late cancellation protection, you can be sure your time and business is always protected.

Sell products and vouchers on their own

If a client would like to purchase a product or voucher without receiving any services, you don't need to create an appointment on your calendar. Instead, you’ll just need to create a new sale.

Block time and add breaks

When you have regularly scheduled breaks, like staff lunches, you can apply split shifts or blocked time directly to your staff's working hours or in your calendar. These breaks will be added in automatically and can be adjusted for any day of the week.

Manage client no-shows and late cancellations

Say goodbye to client no-shows and late cancellations by charging clients a fee when they cancel late or don’t show up.
