Fresha card terminals are a quick and easy payment method which allows you to accept in-store payments from clients who can choose to pay in a range of ways. These portable devices are fully integrated with your business account, making checking out a streamlined process.

Accessing the Admin menu on your terminal is essential for performing various tasks. The steps for this can vary depending on the card terminal model you have. You’ll need to follow the steps for your terminal:

  • S1
  • V400m

Getting started 

When using your Fresha card terminal, you’ll need to be connected to WiFi or a mobile phone hotspot as terminals require internet to run. You’ll need to have your card terminal PIN codes at hand to access the admin menu. 

How to access the Explore the Fresha S1 card terminal admin menu

  1. From the main screen, access the Admin menu using the PIN code 5358.

  2. The Admin menu will appear where you can access the following options: 

Settings

    • Device info - View information about the payment terminal, like the serial number, configuration version, and store details. Update the software version. Scan to connect to the terminal.

    • Network - Enable and configure network connections. Enable aeroplane mode.

    • Configuration - View, update, or remove the configuration version.

    • Display - Adjust the screen brightness.

    • Diagnostics - Run network connection tests.

    • Apps - Overview of the apps and certificates installed on the terminal. If an app is scheduled to be installed or removed, this action is carried out when you open this menu.

Transactions

    • History - View transactions stored on the terminal. Re-print the merchant/shopper receipt for an approved transaction.

    • Totals - View and print a transaction totals report. Reset transaction totals.

    • New transaction - Refund, MOTO payment, MOTO refund, Manual key entry as a standalone terminal. Select the AID priority.

Payment

    • Start a normal payment when used as a standalone terminal.

How to access the V400m card terminal admin menu

  1. On the main screen, press 9 followed by the green circle button on your card terminal.

  2. Access the Admin menu using the PIN code 5358 followed by the green circle button.

  3. The Admin menu will appear where you can access the following options: 

    • Network - Configure network settings and run diagnostic connection tests.
    • Software - Update the terminal software.
    • Config - Update, view, or remove the configuration. You can view the configuration version, the installed software release, and hardware details such as the unique terminal ID.
    • Totals - View and print transaction totals.
    • Transactions - get an overview of transactions stored on the terminal. Re-print the receipt for a transaction.
    • Power off - Turn the terminal OFF.

Do I need anything in-store to access my admin menu?

Fresha’s card terminals are fully integrated with your business account. You won’t need anything in-store or on the Fresha platform to access the admin menu as this can be done directly on the device. You will need to connect to the internet (WiFi or mobile hotspot).


Can I switch the screen off through the admin menu? 

You can adjust the screen brightness through the admin settings however the screen will remain on while the device is on. The screen will automatically dim slightly if not in use. To turn off the screen, you will need to switch off the card terminal. 


Can anyone access the admin menu? 

Any team member with the correct PIN codes can access the admin menu on the Fresha card terminal.
