Fresha card terminals are a quick and easy payment method which allows you to accept in-store payments from clients who can choose to pay in a range of ways. These portable devices are fully integrated with your business account, making checking out a streamlined process.

To help keep things running smoothly at all times, you’ll need to ensure your Fresha card terminal software is always up to date. This can be done directly in your terminal and won’t take up too much of your time. 

Updating the software on each Fresha card terminal model is slightly different. You’ll need to follow the steps for your terminal:

  • S1
  • V400m

Getting started 

When using your Fresha card terminal, you’ll need to be connected to the internet (WiFi or mobile hotspot). You’ll need to have your card terminal PIN codes at hand to run a software update. 

How to update Fresha S1 card terminal software?

  1. Tap on the Settings option and then Settings.

  2. Access the Admin menu using the PIN code 12345.

  3. Tap Update.

How to update a V400m card terminal software?

  1. Access the Admin menu using the PIN code 5358 followed by the green circle button on your card terminal. 

  2. Go to Software and press Update.

  3. Wait until the software has been fully updated. This can take up to 20 minutes to complete.
