How do I manage and edit my client details?

It’s really important to keep your client list up-to-date as you want to make sure they receive their booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and any marketing campaigns that are designed to retain and reward clients with personalised offers and one-off promotions.

Editing your client details

Clients added to Fresha by you or imported by us can be edited and updated at any time. To start making edits:

  1. Go to Clients and use the search bar to find the client you’re looking to edit. 
  2. Once you’ve selected the client’s profile, go to More options three_dots_across.png and click Edit.
  3. You can make changes to their basic info, notes, additional information, address, and notification preferences. Head to Client details and Edit your Notifications to add Important client info such as allergies or hair colour preferences to the client card. Make sure the blue tick blue_tick.png is selected to display client notes on all bookings.
  4. Save changes.

NOTE: Once you’ve clicked Save, you’ll be unable to revert back and undo these changes but you can re-edit them.

Managing your marketplace clients

Clients that have been added to your client list after booking an appointment on Fresha have full control over their own profile information and will be labelled as a marketplace client on their profile. You are still able to apply your preferred details for them. These details can be edited and updated at any time:

  1. Go to Clients and use the search bar to find the client you’re looking to edit. 
  2. Once you’ve selected the client’s profile, go to More options three_dots.png and click Edit.
  3. Update the client's details to your preferred contact information.
  4. Save changes.
  5. You'll notice the name now has a star to indicate that these are not the original Fresha Profile contact details.
  6. Click Save again to complete your changes.

To restore the original contact details from the Fresha profile:

  1. Go to Clients and use the search bar to find the client whose information you’re looking to update.
  2. Once you’ve selected the client’s profile, go to More options three_dots.png and click Edit.
  3. Select the same three dots three_dots.png and Restore original details.
  4. Click Yes, restore to confirm.

NOTE: Updating a client’s contact details will only update your records and not the client's own information on their Fresha account.


How can clients update their own details?

If your client would like to update their details, they’ll need to do the following:

  1. Go to Fresha (or the Fresha app) and Log in.
  2. Click the avatar icon and Settings.
  3. Once selected, the client can make changes to their name, email, mobile and profile picture.
  4. Save changes.

NOTE: Any updates made by the client to their Fresha profile will automatically be reflected in the client section unless you have applied your own preferred contact details. 

PRO TIP: Clients will find their avatar by clicking the Screenshot_2020-10-21_at_22.49.06.png when editing their Fresha profile via the app or in the top right-hand corner when using a browser.
