If a client has had a number of no-shows or behaved inappropriately when attending an appointment, you may want to block them from being able to book online. Our built-in feature prevents these clients from booking online and lets your team members know why this client has been blocked.
Block a client
To block a client from booking online:
- Go to Clients and use the search bar to select the client you’re looking to block.
- Click on More Options
and select Block.
- Choose a reason for blocking the client from the drop-down list.
- Once selected, click Block to save your changes.
The block status will now display on the client's profile as well as on the calendar.
NOTE: Don’t delete the blocked client from your client list. If you delete the client, the block feature will be removed and the client will be able to book online again.
PRO TIP: You can also block and unblock a client by choosing the appointment, clicking the next to the client’s name, and selecting Block client.
Unblock a client
Unblocking a client is as simple as blocking one. As soon as the block has been removed, the client will be able to book online with your business again.
- Go to Clients and use the search bar to select the client you’re looking to block.
- Click on More Options
and select Unblock.
- Confirm you’d like to unblock the client by clicking Unblock again.
Your client will now be able to book your services online as well as reschedule, cancel and rebook appointments.
PRO TIP: Blocking clients should be used as a last resort. Upgrading to our payment processing solution and setting up no-show and late cancellation protection can help reduce client no-shows by up to 90%!
NOTE: Blocked clients will not be made aware that they’ve been blocked from booking your services. If they try to book an appointment with you, they will receive a notification saying Time slot unavailable and be asked to get in touch with you via phone directly.
