How do I upsell services and memberships?

Upselling services at checkout is common practice within the beauty, food, and wellness industries to increase revenue and rebooking rates by recommending additional services at a discounted rate.

With our brand new upselling feature, you can start offering clients the option to book an additional service with the same staff member right after the first at a discounted rate or buy a membership plan before they checkout. Your clients get a better deal on the services they like to book, and you can increase your revenue and rebooking rate. It’s a win-win! 

To start upselling your memberships and services, follow the steps outlined below:

Services

To upsell services:

  1. Go to Business settings and select Service settings.
  2. Scroll down to Upselling and click the toggle enable.png to Upsell services.
  3. Save changes.

Once confirmed, you can start upselling services to your clients.

To choose which services will be visible to clients and the discount amount, you can do this on the services page:

  1. Go to Services in your Catalogue and select a service that you’d like to upsell (for example, a haircut).
  2. Scroll down to Upselling and click the toggle enable.png to Upsell services.
  3. Select up to a maximum of 5 additional services to upsell (for example, you want to offer a blow dry after the haircut).
  4. Choose how much discount you’d like to apply to the services you’ve selected (for example, the blow dry will be offered at a 20% discount). 
  5. Save changes.

When a client books this service, the additional services you have chosen will be recommended to the client before they check out.

Memberships 

To upsell memberships:

  1. Go to Business settings and select Service settings.
  2. Scroll down to Upselling and click the toggle enable.png to Upsell memberships.
  3. Save changes.

When a client books a service online and it is offered in a membership, by default, your cheapest plan will be recommended to the client.  

If the client selects the membership, they’ll be directed to the checkout page to pay for it.

Once the membership has been purchased, the client will be able to apply it to the service.

To upsell a different membership, you’ll need to do the following:

  1. Go to Services in your Catalogue and select the service you’d like to upsell with a membership.
  2. Scroll down to Upselling and click the toggle enable.png to Upsell memberships
  3. You can choose whether to upsell your cheapest or most expensive membership.
  4. Alternatively, you can Select a membership to sell from the list of plans you have available. Click Edit, select the membership you would like to upsell, and Save.
  5. Save changes.

Once confirmed, the membership you have chosen to upsell will be recommended to the client before they checkout. If the client selects the membership, they’ll be directed to the checkout page to pay for it. Once the membership has been purchased, the client will be able to apply it to the service.
