Upsell services and memberships

Increase sales and encourage repeat business by offering additional services and membership at a reduced price to clients at checkout. Learn how to enable service and membership recommendations for online bookings to boost booking rates.

Before enabling upselling, you'll need to take the following steps: 

Upselling services

Enabling upselling for services will suggest up to five additional services to clients when booking online. 

Enable upselling for services

  1. Open Workspace settings, select Scheduling then Upselling.
  2. Next to Upsell services, use the toggle to activate the setting.

Customize upselling for each service

  1. Open the Catalog and select Service menu.
  2. Click on a service and select Edit
  3. Select Online bookings from the menu.
  4. Under Upselling, enable the toggle to Upsell services.
  5. Select Edit under Services to select and Apply up to five services you want to offer clients as an upsell when they book this service. 
  6. Enter the percentage value you want to Discount the upsell services by. 
  7. Enable the toggle to Upsell memberships and choose from the following setting options: 

     

    - Select membership automatically: Allow Fresha to select and upsell the cheapest suitable membership. 

     - Set custom settings: Choose to upsell either the cheapest, most expensive or specific memberships.  
  8. Click Save.

NOTE: When a client chooses a service, they will see the membership offer before finalizing their purchase. If they opt for the membership, they'll proceed to checkout to complete the purchase, applying the membership to the service.

  1. Open Workspace settings, select Scheduling then Upselling.
  2. Next to Upsell memberships, use the toggle to activate the setting.

 Some services have custom membership upsell settings.

Q. Can I upsell both services and memberships at the same time?
Yes, both can be enabled and customized in Workspace settings.


Q. How many additional services and memberships can I upsell with one service?
You can offer up to five additional services or one membership per service.


Q. Can I set individual discount amounts for each upsell service?
No, all selected upsell services will be discounted by the same amount selected under the primary service details. 


Q. Will clients automatically see upsell options at checkout?
Yes, once enabled and saved, upsell options appear to clients at checkout.


Q. Can I change which membership plans are available for upsell?
Yes, you can update the available membership plans anytime through your services menu and memberships.
