How your text message allowance works

Enhance client communication by using your text message balance to send automated messages. The balance includes a monthly quota from Fresha and optional top-ups, managed separately for flexibility. Here’s how it works:

  • Free monthly allowance: You'll receive a free quota of text messages monthly, based on your account activity, automatically renewed on the 1st of each month. For example, if your allowance is 20 messages and you use only 10, you'll have 20 messages available again from the 1st of the next month.
  • Balance top-up: If you need more than the monthly free text message allowance, you can purchase additional text messages through manual or automatic top-ups. These purchased messages do not expire and will remain in your balance until they are used, irrespective of the monthly reset.

Topping up your text messages manually

If you need more than your free monthly allowance, you can make a one-time purchase to cover your immediate text message needs.

To top-up your text messages balance:

  1. Open Workspace settings, select Billing then Text messages.
  2. Review the current number of text messages remaining.
  3. Click Top up and select Next step, then One-time purchase.
  4. Under Top-up details enter the number of text messages you want to top up text balance by.
  5. Review your Payment method. You can Change the card on file or use your Fresha credits.
  6. Review the total cost within your Order summary.
  7. Click Pay.

Enabling automatic text message top-ups

You can set up repeat payments so that your text messages always keep sending.

To enable automatic top-ups: 

  1. Open Workspace settings, select Billing then Text messages.
  2. Review the current number of text messages remaining for the month.
  3. Click Enable auto Top-ups.
  4. Under Top-up details enter the number of text messages you want to top up by and set a threshold for when the top-up should trigger. 
  5. Review your Payment method or Change the card on file if needed.
  6. Review the total cost within your summary.
  7. Click Enable.

Managing automatic text message top-ups

You can manage your automatic top-up settings at any time.

Updating automatic text message top-ups

To update automatic top-ups:

  1. Open Workspace settings, select Billing then Text messages.
  2. Click Top up and select Next step, then Automatic top-ups.
  3. Select Next step.
  4. Make the necessary changes and click Save.

Disabling automatic text message top-ups

If automatic top-ups are disabled, your text message balance may run out, causing your messages to stop sending.

To disable automatic top-ups:

  1. Open Workspace settings, select Billing then Text messages.
  2. Click on the three dots and select Disable auto top-ups 
  3. Click Disable now to reconfirm your selection.

FAQs

Q. How do I check my current text message balance?
Your current balance is visible under Text messages in your Workspace settings and will update on the 1st of every month.


Q. Is there a fee for email automations?
No, there is no fee. Fresha allows you to send emails at no cost.


Q. What should I do if I encounter payment issues?
Contact Fresha support via the Contact us form using your registered email and provide us with:

  • Cardholder name
  • Card type (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, etc)
  • Last four digits of the card (do not share your CVV)
  • The name of the bank the card is registered with
