    Ta Dah!

You can now hide client contact details from staff members who have log in access :D

Go to "Staff">"User Permissions" where you can now tick or untick "Can see client contact info".

To see more, click here  to visit our article on how to apply these and what the staff will experience.

  • This would be extremely great to see as i do not want any contractors viewing all the client details. Do you have an update on this?

  • I would prefer to keep clients information private.I also don't have my stylist booking their own appointments from there phone.I also noticed they can alter there scheduled days on the working hours tab. Is there any update if this is possible in the near future to lock out those permissions.

  • Are you going to do anything about this? It is a big issue for my business too. We are thinking to changing to another software because of that.

  • I’m starting to see an issue with this as well. Might have to look into another system as well, the other owners are not liking that it’s open and viable to low level staff members.

  • Please add an Option to disable client PHONE NUMBER in calendar for low level permission. This is a big issue/inconvenient most of salons especially ours when we only want to share the schedule with the staff but not phone number. We don't want customer to be abuse by any chance (already happened).

  • I've had the same concern for awhile which is why some staff aren't bookable which isn't an ideal solution. I've asked Fresha about their timeline on this important spec and I'm sharing it with you all to give you an idea.
    -------------------------

    Hey Jessica,
    Awesome to hear from you.

The specs have been created for hiding client notifications so they are in the queue to be developed but they are sitting behind payments which is taking up the majority of resource so once payments go live, we'll be able to push 'hiding client contact details' over the line too :)

  • Any updates... have had problems with ex staff contacting clients.

  • Any updates on managing controlled access to client information?

  • Nothing... I already tried to contact directly by email the schedule developer, but till now they only said that this new update only will be live by mid-summer!

I think is better for us, if all of the people that comment here, contact directly be email the software developer, and explain de problem... In my point of view, this is the unique problem of this software... And it is a huge problem!

I think they should give primacy to this question....

  • I found the hard way for this to be an issue.  One of my staff who had a masterplan to leave the spa and open up her own (without my knowledge) wrote down all the contact information from the clients she serviced (she was set to low level), resigned from her position at our spa and contacted all of them to inform them of her new work place.  My clients were peeved that this information got out of the spa and some felt very uncomfortable with the whole scenario.  Very unprofessional, please fix this so that low level staff can not see client info.  Hope to see the change soon.

  • Alma Kurjak, unfortunately we already had the same problem... And if you are in UE region, you have other problem. You need to report the data stolen to the data protection commission in your country, which could put you in trouble with the law. We (salons and spas) have responsibility to keep the contacts and other data of ours clients secure. If our staff stole from us this data, and use that for there benefit, we are not following the GDPR directives.

  • Do we have an update on this yet, everything else about this system works great but not if staff can steal client details

  • Excellent actualisation! Good job! Now the system is perfect!

  • Thank you for providing such a fantastic product and being so responsive to forum/user feedback--that is excellent service that keeps me a huge fan!

The attention to security with the client-data privacy feature is fantastic; we are having a challenge though with our techs needing to be able to edit notes for formulas and service details. We have a looooooot of clients with the same first name - - is there a way please to confine only contact and credit card data to a secured section, but the non-sensitive records be editable by low-access users? Thank you so much, it's been challenging to ensure accurate booking and capture formulas since the change...

  • Amazing this makes me happy :)

  • Fresha Team: thank you again for fine-tuning the permissions, I asked a question above re: having staff still be able to view names and/or at the very least edit non-sensitive client notes (like color formulas)...any progress or response please?

  • Hey Nicole :)

If you go to "Staff">"Staff Members" you should be able to tick "Can Book Appointments" and untick "Can see client contact info".

This way, they won't be able to see the client names or edit the client notes, but they will be able to edit and update booking notes.

Otherwise, if it's a new permission level entirely, please create a new idea in the forum and we can keep track of it :)

  • The email still shows client info and it's imperative that they receive notifications with minimal info

    Comment actions Permalink
  • @jessica you can switch off staff from receive email notifications under "Online bookings">"Settings".
Since they now receive in-app notifications and they can have fully restricted log in access, they can keep "push notifications" but stop receiving email notifications :)
