  • Hi, any update on this?

Being able to accept paypal or an online payment processor for payments from Schedul would be the sole reason for us signing up and using this as our main booking system.

    Thank you

  • Can we have an update on this?

  • Update? I really like Fresha, and I want to keep using it. It is getting to the point that this feature is quickly becoming a need as opposed to a want.

  • Hi, what is the latest update on this? :)

  • Update on this service please? Is this something that is now live in the UK?

  • @Fresha team... Are you able to give the community here an update on where this project is at?

I understand that this is a free service currently, but users still have the right to be kept in the loop like any other stakeholder in an ongoing project like this.

Communication, often and early, is what will keep this product & community going while you overcome the many hurdles and obstacles involved in such a task.

  • I don’t know why they don’t keep us informed through here but they had replied to me via email back in 10/05/18 they are aiming for Xmas for Illinois.

  • Any update on this ?  I got an email in June, announcing online payments in the United Kingdom launching July 2018.

  • We need an update on this. Please advise. ASAP.

  • At this point for your Fresha customers in the US, I don't think you need to come up with a native card payment system (leveraging traditional card merchant services), but rather tie into existing POS/Payment Systems that are out there.  We stood up Square this week in our Barbershop.  We are now using both Fresha and Square together.  What would optimize what we do would be to leverage Square's API hooks so that when performing an appointment CHECKOUT in Fresha, the check out details are directly sent to square for payment processing.  We would then run the card via square.

Square publishes all of their API documentation here:  https://docs.connect.squareup.com/

This could also be done with Paypal and any other major online payment processing environment.

If you could provide an update on your approach to this and the timeframe when this will be completed, I would (as many others) greatly appreciate it.

  • Fresha team: Its the holiday season and some of us have been waiting over 2 years for a payment integration. We need you to at least give us an update. Youve left us hanging for months. Please and thank you!

  • Hi this what I got as an update from Fresha.

Hey Aline, really good to hear from you.

Long story short, the payment processor we already spent months integrating & negotiating rates with unexpectedly let us down just before we were to go live.

We’re super disappointed with how this pushed back our time lines, I know how desperately the payment features are needed. The good news is we’re already testing a replacement payment processor (much better one!) and the team are adamant to get this over the line as soon as possible. You'll be the first to know when there's a solid date to go live. Should be the first feature to go live in the new year. It's all in motion right now.

    Apologies for the delay!

  • Thank you for sharing Aline, what area are they talking about?
They told me the same thing and expecting Illinois to go life in January 2019

  • This is the latest I was sent

"We'll be testing a hand full of clients in the UK end of Nov/start of December but we're aware it's also everyone's busiest time of year so rolling out through December probably isn't a good idea. We'll see how smoothly the tests go"

  • Please take a look at Acuity Scheduling. They have managed to add different processors and the option for deposits into their system all while giving the ability to store cards.

If you can do this I will switch. We dont need one set processor. The ability to choose works as well. I use square and Braintree and stripe. Of course, not all at once.

  • what about CANADA? when this service will be activate?

  • I personally would prefer a deposit option over storing card information. Many clients do not trust such information being kept on file. Some even believe their cards will be charged without authorization (regardless of the sucre methods used & explained to them).

  • Any update on this feature? Is it still going to be the first release of 2019?

  • Any update on this? It is desperately needed for aesthetics to take online bookings with deposit to avoid stock loss.

  • I'm looking forward to using this system when this option comes. In terms of accepting a deposit I would like to store the credit card details so that I can charge for no shows or for people cancelling with less than 24 hours notice, rather than automatically charging a deposit - basically I would want the option to chose what to do. If someone is genuinely sick, I don't charge for a late cancellation as I don't want to treat contagious clients!

However I also believe we should collect more data from a client booking online - not just their name and phone number. I would feel better if they had to provide a valid address too (e.g. verified by Australia Post) and their date of birth. It would be good if we could customise the booking form to add these fields. I also need the address as some of my jobs are mobile. Also some options for extra automated messages would be good, so if a person makes a booking for an area I don't service I can cancel them and have an automated message sent to them.

  • I agree with Belinda wholeheartedly. Fresha needs to require birthdate, not only for those of us that run birthday promotions, but because some of us have people who are under age requesting chemical processes that, legally, we need to be able to get a parent or guardian to sign off on. Further, a mailing address is essential, because sometimes we need it for credit card processing, and follow up.

  • I can't  understand why this is promised over and over for 2 years in UK and still in March 2019 I cannot consider going live with Fresha as it has no feature for configuring an online bookings or in store payments gateway.   Am I missing something here?

  • John Hatfield,

Frustrating eh. I have gone live for over a year now. Book now button on FB page, Instagram and website. I still checkout with the cash or card option purely for financial reporting. I have a PayPal business account and card reader. So when a client wants to pay by card I switch to PayPal here to take the payment. In terms of deposits, I ask for a deposit over the phone or email an invoice from PayPal. Once it's all set up it's fairly easy to do. It would be easier if the as promised card integration had happened already.

  • I just received this answer via email:
    Hi Reyna,

So sorry for the delayed response, we've seen a spike in sign-ups, it's been very busy!

So, the good news is, payments and no show protection has been built and we're now testing in the UK. Depending on how testing goes, we should be able to release these to the USA soon after (8 weeks realistically) because the USA has lots of special regulations, but it has all been built and we're super excited about launching these, along with the native app and the marketing features so it's all launching together :)

Hope you can hang in there a little longer 🙏

    Best,
    Jennifer
