New Group: Hair (+ Group Description of "Prices may vary based on duration")
New Service: Hair Cut
Multiple Pricing Type: Short + Duration + Price
Multiple Pricing Type: Medium+ Duration + Price
Multiple Pricing Type: Long + Duration + Price
This ensures the client is aware of what they're agreeing to and the service provider is covered for any variations.
Upon checkout, the "price" box can be edited on the first page of check out either up or down.
I understand this way of doing this. Makes sense. the issue is if we have 3 price levels per service. When there is a long description for each service with the current layout of the full description showing at all times it makes the selection process very difficult. Too many words on the screen. What do you recommend?
All of this to just get through full head of highlights and this is only with 2 levels entered.
Hey Robert,
As these descriptions are all the same, you can add it to the "Service Group Description" rather than the individual Service Description. This way, it'll only show once :)
Eg the service group description could be:
"Stylists will customize each service to meet your needs. This includes a unique customized treatment depending on your hair type to seal the cuticle and protect the integrity of your hair. All finished with a Blow Out and Style"
Hope this helps!
Hi I certainly wouldn't recommend hiding prices, I think that would have a negative effect, I did suggest the prices from sometime ago, as a few clients have complained about that...
Hair color
Short
Above shoulder
Below Shoulders
Middle Back
Long
Very Long
Before i used to just write Haircolor 50-150 etc
Now i have to put an exact amount for each one which makes my price list so overwhelming it scares clients away. I have not even tried to fathom out how to make price lists for hair extensions with about 150 different color combos, length and variations...
I’d like the option to turn prices off completely. I do understand the negative effect it could have, but previous experiences have shown me the effects of adjusting prices after a service is booked online are far worse. I don’t think this is a one size fits all. Adding the options OFF and From would be ideal to suit everyone. I like to keep the booking options online super simple. Basic options, I can adjust my end. I find clients are overwhelmed by choice. They just want to book a cut and colour. Which most of the time means highlights, toner, treatment and blow out too. But to them it’s simply a colour and cut.
I would also like the option of a price range since length and thickness and age can alter our prices, and clients do not always choose the right one. Also not all add-on services need to be listed, so an option to select which services will show for online booking would be nice, otherwise some clients will pick only the add-on and expect that price when it is only meant to be combined with a full service. You keep talking about trying to keep everything clean and uncluttered, this would do this and it can be up to us to decide what works best with our salons.
