Client waiting list (Wait List)
It would be great to have a list that we could add clients to that would like an appointment if we get a cancellation. If a cancellation occurs, the list pops up and we can give that client a call to let them know we just had a space open up. Maybe even by time, so if we have a two hour client, and a one hour appointment open up, it doesn't pop up. Only for the time that we need? But either way, a client waiting list would be great.

Very cool suggestion and definitely on the to-do list!
We have a good workaround in the meantime.
You can add "Blocktime" before the start of your day or after the end of your day and add the contact details and appointment details of those who are waiting for a last minute spot.
So as soon as something frees up, you'll know exactly who to contact and create a booking for :)

Just to add. There are apps in which users can add themselves to the waiting list for a particular time and can get notification by text and/or email if a time frees up on their requested time so they can go ahead and book themselves.
The "Blocktime" is a great workaround... can I, therefore, throw in another suggestion? Can it be made so that we could repeat a blocked time? That way, each day, we can just use that to write in our lists. Also, those who take a regularly scheduled lunch or whatever break at the same time each day can do so. And instead of doing a schedule split, you have the option of taking an appointment instead of the blocked time.

Another vote for the waiting list! Particularly if you could add clients to blocks of time (what we often hear is: can you put me on the waitlist for the next two weeks for late nights after 5pm)
a wait list will also serve as a walk-in list for a walk in salons that you can take when available between already booked appointment. I have this with my software now, we check in under what stylist does the client..

We would definitely appreciate this! Currently we use an Excel worksheet as a cancellation list, but this worksheet is only set up on our tablet, so if we're using our laptop or phone to book an appointment we have to go find the tablet to add clients to the cancellation list. Also, having an integrated system with a cancellation list along with the scheduling program together would help fix a lot of issues that come up with using 2 separate systems. Can't wait for this one!
I think it would be great if clients could opt in to be alerted about any cancellations and a automated text is sent out to those that have opted in. It can be hard work messaging one client waiting for their response and before you know it 10 hours has gone by and it’s too late to fill it
Any time line that this will be completed in? And any new on offline use yet ?
We would love this feature, my calendar is booked all day long and blocking time will just take income away, but last minute cancelation and reminder email to client will give that client opportunity to jump in and schedule.
That feature will save a lots of time and money for us.

I set up a client named "stylist name cancellation" I then set up my salon name to work every day, one time frame for every stylist. I have the stylist cancellation booked as a reoccurring appt on it. Under client details I write in every cancellation request so I can scroll over the appt every time there is a cancellation and see if anyone on that list would be able to fill the cancellation. It's not perfect. And would be nicer if it were an automatic thing.
This would put the app into nearly perfect status! Please follow up with this. Thanks. Other than that, I love Fresha.

this would be amazingly helpful when we finally start operating after COVID closure!
Would be great if when adding a blocked time we could get a pop up to have the blocked time deleted from hours worked when it is during the day, like a lunch or if they are going to run some earrand that the staff would be off the clock instead of having to create a split shift for their lunch. Sometimes lunch needs to be moved this would be easier than altering the split shift work around so that it is not included in their work hours when doing payroll.
Its something really really important if you want to run a busy business
this has been in the pipeline for 2 years and still no waiting list or is it only available on Fresha Plus... Cause thats not available yet in SA. Have send a email in request but no reply. Its been 2 weeks

In my salon its works in a way we have a
(1) Contact customer information (some of them have a booked slot, some of them not)
(2) status (already booked with detailed time or not)
(3) service
(4) notes for time customer want to have/stylist/ other notes
in case of system, tool need to be added some status of the waiting list record, e.g. booked, open, no time/expired.
Right now we do first 4 points in online notes.
Fresha, when are you bringing in the waiting list function? It’s been on the to do list forever.

Any update on this as right now in the time we are in would be great with us all reopening as I'm missing out some appointments that in a way you could be making money off for a client not being able to book in and just another little thought when clients try and book in online on a specific date give them an option to put there selves on a waiting list and it notifies us ?
