Automated message to reminder clients to book next appt
i have an idea which I am surprised no other booking system has picked up on yet. I work in London and often have new walk in clients. I have given up asking clients to book their next appointment in advance as who knows what they are going to be doing in 6 weeks time!! I always ask them how often they have their haircut/colour done and input their name and number in my phone calendar one week before they are due for another haircut. When the date reminder comes pops up on my phone I send them a SMS reminding them it's time for another haircut with me and in that SMS I put a link to my online booking system. It takes time to input their details into my phone calendar, an online system should be able to send a time to get your haircut reminder by just inputting the amount of weeks. I use Treatwell and they are just about to launch a similar idea but it is fully automated and does not allow the stylist to send a reminder at the correct time for each client. I have a lot of success with my reminders

Very cool suggestion!
Sending automated messages to remind clients to book their next appointment is definitely a feature worth implementing! We already have smart marketing as part of Fresha Plus where emails are automatically sent to lapsed clients based on your business rules.
We also have the Client Retention Report which will tell you how long it's been since someone last visited you and which service they had (excluding those that already have future appts booked).
You can use this list to message clients directly with your direct online booking links.
If you want to automate this, check out our guide here: Smart Marketing
Just to build on this, I know there are other ones that is able to know if it has been a while since they visit hence able to send a notification saying "it's been a while" and then have some kinda offer to attract them to book.
Treatwell who I use their online booking system is about to start one but it’s fully automated from their end. Only the stylist/colourist who has spoken to the client will know when to send the ‘time to get your hair done again. It is so easy to add to a online book system. 85% of my clients now book online so I have their details already, when I have finished cutting their hair I just ask them when do you want me to send you a reminder, the system should have a reminder button with a calendar so I can set the reminder with one click. I am still awaiting a reply from Fresha about this idea
I have used systems in the past where you could run a report on retained clients or clients that havent been rebooked. You would then create a list from the report and remove any visitors/kids etc and send out a reminder txt. 90% of male clients would call within an hour of receiving it and relied on it. Women were about 40%, but it was fantastic!
This idea is brilliant! Reminders that could be categorised based on services would be super handy. Men tend to come in every 3-4 weeks whereas women are 6-8 weeks
I have used another system which does this. Clients often book after they get the reminder, 'it's time for your waxing' etc
I would love Fresha to offer this feature
That is a great idea! We are offering teeth whitening services as well as teeth cleaning and other dental treatments. Some of them need to be repeated every six months or so. An automated reminder system would be a great tool for us! "It is time for your semiannually teeth cleaning..." or "It is time for your teeth whitening..."
Also it would be great if we could schedule a specific dental work. Let's say a tooth has started decaying but it is not urgent to do the filling right away. So we could put a reminder and in six months an automated message or email could be sent to the patient telling him/her that "it is time to have the tooth checked!" or "it is time to have the filling that we have scheduled..."
I can't wait for this update!!
Fresha team you are doing an excellent work!! Love everything about Fresha!!
Great Idea! so many of our clients don't realize how long it has been when they remember to book.
