Patch/Skin Test Mandatory Requirement

Require a client to have a patch test for services such as tinting, false lashes, hair dye, etc - this is quite important for client history and insurance reasons so adding an option to record this information for each client on their record card would be very useful!

  • I would love this feature and if you could then set up a way of it reminding you and the client of an expired test somehow that would be even better!!

  • This is an absolute necessity we have to have a record of this and a reminder

  • I have contacted Fresha about the need for this feature and this is the response I have received from them..

For Patch tests or skin tests, most businesses are adding a free service to the top of their service menu to specifying in the service description that this must be completed before colour services can be booked (otherwise appts risk being cancelled) - then you can add the patch test results and expiry date to the Client Notes as these appear on every appointment.

Currently, there are two places to add notes:

    • Client notes are added to the Client Card and would be more permanent ones like: ‘Allergic to’ or regular colour formulas/ conditions as they appear on every appointment.
    • Bookings notes are appointment specific like one off formulas or ‘reacted well, good progress etc, Patch Test Completed’ which be viewed on the calendar as well as in the Client's "Appointment History" under Clients.

You can still edit both Client Notes and Booking Notes after the appointment is checked out, just click "complete" then edit.

  • Absolutely critical to ensure patch test expiry notifications are alerted to salon staff

  • Given the crackdown on allergy testing from insurance companies and product suppliers recently, an allergy testing declaration that a client could sign (like you can with other systems) would be a game changer for me!
