User friendly icons -quicker Point of sale screen and built in scanner via camera

Would it be possible on checkout for a point of sale screen with icons instead of having list eg: icons for categories or icons for all services products or an area you can just put in the final price like a till set up. similar to the point of sale with Square look. This would make it a lot quicker process for checking out a client.
