Limit online booking to existing clients

Similar to how the new Block Online Booking works (which is great), where it cross-checks personal details within your client list, it would be great to have an option to only allow existing clients to book online. This would use very similar mechanisms to the Block booking feature.

This would provide trusted clients with a quick online booking option, without the increased risk of no-shows etc from unknown clients who could be encouraged to call.

Hey Folks! Thank you for your votes on this request and we have shared your idea with our product development team.

In the meantime you can add a disclaimer saying you are only accepting bookings from existing clients in the “Important Info” box of your Online Booking setting that clients will see when they book online ❤️

  • But allow this per Therapist.. as the owner I don’t need new clients. But my other therapists can still take on new clients.

  • I would really like this feature.  As a mobile therapist safety is paramount and being able to screen new bookings is of vital importance to me.  It's the only thing preventing me from using online booking on Fresha.  I get enough "creepers" on the phone/ via text, but can easily bat them away.  This screening is not possible with a fully open online booking system.

  • Related to this I'd love to be able to say if each existing client can book online or not - a check box perhaps in each client's profile you can edit as necessary?

  • This would be a game changer.  I have a waiting list for evening clients and there is a certain treatments that I can’t take anymore of due to repetitive strain.  However I can’t let new clients know this so they book in and then I have the embarrassment of having to call them and explain :0(. In the mean time I have had to remove the ‘book now’ button and I’m praying something is in the pipeline to fix this problem.

  • This would be amazing if we could do it per staff member. My books are full and ild love new clients to try other staff instead of always booking with the owner even if they haven't been before this would definitely help!

  • This would be great, I do not take new clients so I don't want people requesting appointments and getting instant confirmation

  • This is what my business NEEDS. I don't have the availability for new clients but would love not having to spend unnecessary time finding appointments for my existing clients when they could easily book it themselves online. PLEASE make this happen!

  • This is a very important function to allow online booking with some team members but not others.  Some team members cannot take new Clients due to existing Client base and it becomes an issue when a new Client finds an open hole in the schedule and books an appointment.  This leads to a poor Client experience when the new Client expects to be able to get in for regular appointments with a team member that can only accommodate existing Client base.

  • Thanks for looking at this option. I’m an estie and massage therapist and I work alone in the office a lot. For my safety I need to screen who can book massage online. I hope this feature gets added

  • This would be a great addition! We keep getting NEW clients, selecting certain stylists, but not meaning to request them, so the stylist's regular clients cannot book with them, while another stylist is open without clients. Plus some stylists are not taking any mew clients because her fees are higher, and the clients tell us they did not request that higher fee stylist. Also, we are getting ALOT of duplicate client files, even though they should not be able to do that. (and YES they are using the same phone number, same email, just a different first name) This should help that, I hope.

We recommend regulars being booked in with recurring appointments so that they always have a slot booked in with their favourite staff member.

When you set up advanced pricing options, you are setting pricing per staff member and their duration for that particular service. When a client books online and doesn't pick a specific staff member, they will see prices starting from. If they then continue to pick a date where there is only a staff member available with higher pricing, then they will end up paying more. So if they pick no preference, it will assign the appointment to staff members that are available. If they pick a specific staff member then they will see the staff member's price.

Clients booking online cannot use the same email address. If you have created your own client, and the client has booked online first time with the same details, you can merge them if you are sure they are one in the same person.
