To learn how to turn your card terminal on and off, select the card terminal model you have and follow the relevant steps:
Switch a V400m / e285 card terminal on and off
Turn the terminal ON
- Plug in the charger to turn the card terminal on. If this doesn’t work, hold the green circle button on your card terminal for 5 seconds, and allow a few minutes for the Fresha logo to appear on the screen.
- During startup, the display turns on and off a few times. Let the battery charge for at least four hours while you continue with the next steps.
- Press 1 followed by the green circle button on your card terminal.
Turn the terminal OFF
- Press 9 followed by the green circle button on your card terminal.
- Enter the Admin menu using the PIN code 5358 followed by the green circle button.
- Select Power off.
- Alternatively, press and hold the ❌ button until the display turns off.
Switch a Fresha S1 card terminal on and off
Turn the terminal ON
- Press and hold the power button until the display turns ON. If necessary, connect the terminal to a power supply to charge the battery.
Turn the terminal OFF

Press and hold the power button until a dialogue box appears.

Confirm you want to turn OFF the terminal.
NOTE: When turning ON the card terminal for the first time or after a long time, it may make a maintenance call to synchronize the configuration and update the software. This can take between 10 to 20 minutes. When connected to a power supply, a battery icon will be displayed at the top right corner of the display indicating the battery charge level.
